I've done my outline now,so I can start writing. This is what I have so far:

One of the most common psychotic disorder is schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is a brutal mental disorder characterized by delusions, hallucinations, incoherence and physical disturbance. It generally strikes in late teenage years or early adulthood, but can hit at any time in life. People with schizophrenia may hear voices other people don't hear or they may believe that others are reading their minds, controlling their thoughts, or plotting to harm them. These experiences are frightening and can cause terror, withdrawal, or extreme anxiety. People with schizophrenia may not make sense when they converse, may sit for hours without moving or talking much, or may seem perfectly fine until they speak about what they are really thinking. There is no single cause for this disease and it occurs in 1 percent of the U.S population. (That’s about 3 million people) Schizophrenia is a severe mental illness that deeply affect’s the patient’s daily life.
Schizophrenia is characterized by some physical symptoms and some conditions taking place in the victim’s thoughts and action. The symptoms include delusion, hallucinations, disorganized thinking, speech and behavior, agitation, lack of initiative, social withdrawal, apathy, and emotional unresponsiveness.

Is this OK for the intro and symptoms? Thanks

The thesis is repetition. What do you want to write about?

You already have these symptoms in the introduction. Either take this out of the intro or go into greater detail in this first paragraph.

MC, you clearly are not writing an essay or you'd have a REAL thesis statement in there. Guru is right -- you have facts, but no focus, no essay.

I agree there is a need for focus. Here, I wonder what the thesis is.

Yes, your introduction and description of the symptoms of schizophrenia are a good starting point for your writing. However, it's important to note that when writing about medical conditions or disorders, it's always a good idea to consult reliable sources to ensure accuracy and depth of information.

To expand your knowledge and further enhance your writing, you can follow these steps:

1. Research and gather information: Access reputable sources such as medical journals, books, or websites to gather comprehensive information on schizophrenia. Make sure to use credible and up-to-date sources to ensure accuracy.

2. Organize your information: Take the information you have gathered and organize it in a logical and coherent manner. You can create an outline or a structured plan to help you organize your thoughts and present the information in a clear and concise way.

3. Provide more details: In your introduction, you briefly mentioned some symptoms of schizophrenia. To provide a more complete understanding of the disorder, you can consider expanding on each symptom, providing examples and further explanations.

4. Include causes and prevalence: Apart from symptoms, it would be beneficial to include information about potential causes or risk factors for developing schizophrenia. Additionally, you can mention the prevalence of the disorder, specifically how many people are affected by it worldwide or in specific populations.

5. Edit and revise your writing: Once you have written your content, review it for clarity, coherence, and grammar. Make sure every sentence adds value to your overall message and that your writing flows smoothly.

Remember, always credit your sources and verify the credibility of the information you include in your writing. By following these steps, you can ensure that your writing accurately reflects the topic at hand while providing valuable and informative content.
