What kind of complement is the underlined word?

1.Email DAD a copy of the photograph tonight.
Ans- direct object

Is this correct?
Thanks!
-MC

Yes, you're right. DAD is the direct object of the verb "email."

I believe Dad is an indirect object. What is mailed (the message) is the direct object, but does not appear in the sentence.

If I am wrong, one of our English experts will certainly correct me.

I would consider "EMail" a verb in this imperative sentence.

Drwls is absolutely right! I goofed.

Thanks, drwls!

Thanks guys! The way I got direct object was, i said, "Email WHO a copy of the photograph tonight?" Email DAD.

Had to do that myself since homeschool teachers are only good for giving the answer =/ thanks again!!

You're welcome, MC.

The direct object is COPY. It answers the question WHAT after the verb. Mail WHAT? Mail COPY.

The indirect object is DAD. It answers the question TO or FOR WHOM or WHAT after the verb. Mail to whom? Mail (to) whom? DAD

Got it! =D
