Examples of religious liberty in America has been real or is just an ideal.

We can cite examples on both sides of this issue.

No one is persecuted for their religion or lack of religion. We can express our beliefs in public forums and attend any or no church, synagogue, temple, or mosque.

On the other hand, we all must deal with money that says "In God we trust." The words "under God" were added to our Pledge of Allegiance some 50 years ago. I doubt if an atheist president could be elected today.
