I am trying to cite an article in Rereading America, but it was written by the editors of the book. I am having a hardtime citing it. Also its suppose to be in MLA format.

Is this correct?

Colombo, Gary, Robert Cullen, and Bonnie Lisle. “Learning Power.” Rereading America: Cultural Contexts for Critical Thinking and Writing. Ed. Gary Colombo, Robert Cullen, and Bonnie Lisle. 7th ed. Boston: Bedford/St. Martin’s, 2007: 115-119.

Actually, I think you have it just right except that the title of the book needs to be italicized (which, I know, won't show up in your post).

For the multiple authors, go here and scroll down to the section on Two or More Authors:

Then go here for the format when citing one article (or story or essay) out of a collection):

To cite an article from a book that is written by the editors, you will need to follow specific guidelines for citing an edited book in MLA format. Here is how you can do it:

1. Start the citation with the name(s) of the editor(s), followed by "(Ed.)" or "(Eds.)". If there is more than one editor, separate their names with commas.
Example: Smith, John (Ed.) and Johnson, Jane (Eds.).

2. Include the title of the article in quotation marks, followed by a period.
Example: "Title of the Article."

3. Provide the title of the book in italics, followed by a comma.
Example: Rereading America,

4. Add the full publication information of the book, including the edition, publisher, and year of publication.
Example: 10th ed., Bedford/St. Martin's, 2020.

5. Finish the citation with the page range of the article, preceded by "pp." (for multiple pages) or "p." (for a single page).
Example: pp. 25-45.

Putting it all together, a complete MLA citation for an article written by the editors in the book "Rereading America," with the title "Title of the Article," would look like this:

Smith, John (Ed.) and Johnson, Jane (Eds.). "Title of the Article." Rereading America, 10th ed., Bedford/St. Martin's, 2020, pp. 25-45.

Make sure to adjust the citation details (names, article title, publication year, etc.) according to the specific article you are citing, as well as any additional formatting guidelines provided by your instructor or institution.
