World problems include:

Wow! Take a look at the front page of any newspaper in the country! Here are some in today's New York Times:

~~Dozens Slain as Lebanese Army Fights Islamists

~~Israel and Militants Trade Deadly Attacks

~~Birth Control Measures Prompt Riots in China

~~Electricity Crisis Hobbles an India Eager to Ascend

You can find hundreds of other newspapers here:

Perhaps it'd be interesting to go through newspapers from other countries to see issues that face many nations, not just one or two.

To write a paragraph on a world problem, you can choose any of the suggested problems such as global warming, war in Iraq, Palestinian-Israeli conflict, destruction of rainforests, or illegal immigration.

To gather information for your paragraph, you can start by looking at news articles from reputable sources. One suggestion is to visit the website of a major newspaper like The New York Times. On their front page, you will find headlines and news articles covering various global issues. For example, on May 21, 2007, The New York Times had articles about the war in Lebanon, conflict in the Middle East, birth control controversies in China, energy crisis in India, and the state of education in Africa.

If you prefer a wider range of perspectives, you can explore newspapers from different countries using websites like Newspapers.com. This will allow you to see the issues faced by many nations and gain a better understanding of global problems beyond what is reported in a single newspaper.

By conducting research and reading news articles from reputable sources, you will have a solid foundation to write a paragraph about the world problem of your choice. Remember to ensure a balanced perspective by considering different viewpoints and taking into account the underlying causes and potential solutions to the problem you choose to address.
