What is another negative reason for war being fought for freedom. So far I have War entraps people into the military. Meaning that it provides little freedom.( I expanded on that) And you don't bring freedom to people by engaging in war on their cities. (I expanded on that to)

Not everyone wants freedom. Some people want to be told what to do by a dictator or other parental figure. If this so-called freedom is imposed by another country, then it's not going to work.

Countries that operate on a a "clan system" do not want freedom. They feel more secure having their everyday life controlled by the "family" of whom they are a part, not by outsiders.

Another negative reason for war being fought for freedom is the erosion of civil liberties and human rights within a country engaged in the conflict. When nations go to war in the name of freedom, it often necessitates the implementation of stricter measures to maintain security and order. Governments may curtail individual freedoms and civil liberties, such as freedom of speech, assembly, or privacy, in the name of national security. This can lead to increased surveillance, censorship, and a general decline in personal freedoms.

To further explore this negative consequence, you could consider the following points:

1. Civilian casualties and displacement: War fought for freedom can result in significant civilian casualties and the displacement of innocent people. The destruction of cities, infrastructure, and the displacement of populations can have severe humanitarian consequences, undermining the very freedom being sought.

2. Restrictions on dissent: During times of war, governments often impose restrictions on dissent and criticism to maintain unity and support. This can result in the stifling of opposition or alternative views, curtailing the freedom of speech and expression.

3. Limitations on civil rights: In the pursuit of victory and national security, governments may introduce emergency laws that limit civil rights. Basic protections and due process may be compromised, detentions without trial may be permitted, and fair legal proceedings may become compromised.

4. Increased surveillance and state control: To combat potential threats during wartime, governments tend to increase surveillance efforts, monitoring citizens' communications, activities, and movements. This intrusion undermines personal privacy and freedom, as people feel constantly watched and monitored.

5. Long-term effects: Wars fought for freedom can leave lasting scars on society. Post-conflict, countries may face a protracted period of instability, political repression, or even the rise of authoritarian regimes, further eroding the freedoms that were intended to be achieved.

Remember, understanding the consequences of war requires a critical examination of historical events, the impact on societies, and the actions taken by governments during and after conflicts.
