What is outliers? how do you solve this problem? please give me some answers.

In statistics outliers are data points that very far from the mean. There are some rules of thumb for determining them, but I don't recall them right off hand and don't want to reach for the text just now.
Suppose the data looks like this;
xx...x.xxxx.xx.xx.xxxx.x....................x
The x to the far right could be an outlier.
Sometimes we can exclude them from the data, other times we can't. If we have to include them we usually do some kind of transform (such as a log transform where we take the log of each point if they're positive numbers) and do our stats with the transformed values.

how do i work out and find the answer to this equation problem 28b = -131.6

Divide both sides by 28.

To solve the equation 28b = -131.6, you can follow these steps:

1. Divide both sides of the equation by 28 to isolate the variable b. This means dividing both -131.6 and 28 by 28:

28b / 28 = -131.6 / 28

2. Simplifying the equation yields:

b = -131.6 / 28

3. Finally, perform the division to calculate the value of b:

b ≈ -4.707

So the solution to the equation 28b = -131.6 is b ≈ -4.707.
