How does overpopulation create starvation. What are some strong reasons besides people fighting over food.

Suppose the food grown on one acre of ground will feed a family. In 1950, Mr. and Mrs. T. farmed one acre. They were able to feed their 8 children. But -- in the next generation, these 8 kids marry and each has several children. Where do they get the land to feed their children? In many places they don't and some of the children starve.

Think about places that depend upon scarce water supplies to irrigate their crops. With too many people in an area, the water supply is too small to irrigate the crops needed to feed these people. The result - starvation.
