i have two answers to this problem so am not sure which way I need to do in or should say the order i should do it. lease help???????
problem is
7x-5+3x=6+x-10
what is the order to work this out

there is no brackets to this problem

7x-x+3x=6+5-10
6x+3x=11-10
8x=1
-------
8 8

x=1/8

x = 1/9

Can you see the error?

Substitute 1/9 for x in the original problem. This is one way to check your answer. It always helps to check your work!
