year?
One step calculation:
number of members = 30(1.2)(83.33333) = 30
Long way:
20% increase of 30 = 1.2(30) = 36
16.6666..% of 36 = 6
final result = 36-6 = 30
or realize that 16.666...% is 16.6666.../100 = 1/6
and 20% is 1/5
then you would have
30(6/5)(5/6) = 30(1) = 30
