How do you figure out if a collision is elastics or inelastic, when it is dropped and then bounces?
Do you figure out the velocity and then put that in the Ek formula?
Elastic: Energy is conserved, that is, final KE is the same as the KE before the collision.
Momentum is always conserved.
Inelastic: KE is not conserved.
