I'm going through a review for basically a final and i have the answer to this i just need help understanding how to get that answer and how to do the work.

If he has x mL of 50%, then the rest (105-x) is 80%.

So, equate the methane in the parts with that in the whole.
0.50x + 0.80(105-x) = 0.60*105
Now work your magic.
