find the exact perimeter of the triangle.

it's a right triangle with 4x on side A and x on side B

I don't understand what i'm doing and the lesson didn't help me.
answer choices are
a.68 sqrt x
b.sqrt 68x
c. 5x+x sqrt 17
d. 68x

so the missing side is h, the hypotenuse

h^2 = x^2 + (4x)^2 = 17x^2
h = √17 x

perimeter = x + 4x + √17 x
so, do you see that as a choice?

no but c is the closest to that answer

i think that may be the answer.

i'm not sure though

What do you mean it is "closest" ????

This is math, mine is equal to that answer!!!!
what is x + 4x ?????

5x

i'm sorry

i'm so sorry i was being dumb i figured it out and it was c i said the closest becuase i thought you meant that as the final answer but i understand what you meant now and i got that question right

*because
