A 10.0 mL sample of hydrochloric acid solution with an unknown concentration is titrated with a 0.10 mol/L solution of potassium hydroxide. The results of the titration are shown in the table below:

Trial Initial volume of KOH (mL) Final volume of KOH (mL)
1 6.00 15.34
2 15.34 24.32
3 4.61 13.98
What is the concentration of the hydrochloric acid?

@ Pro-Truth-Efficient--If you post you provide no useful information but you clam up the board. If you don't post we don't even know you're there. That;s the best solution of all.

KOH + HCl ==> KCl + H2O
mols KOH = M x L = 0.1 M x (0.01534 - 0.00600)
Since 1 mol KOH reacts with 1 mol HCl you know mols HCl = mols KOH.
M HCl = mols/L. You have mols from the step above. You know L HCl = 0.010 L.
Solve. Post your work if you get stuck.

@ PTE, CC, et al.

I don't have time for your jokes. I stand by my remark. If you don't have anything to post then don't post it. You're just wasting space and people time in reading what they already know. Actually, we really don't need to know that you don't know.

@ Cookie Crumbled--I HAVE read your posts. You're right. Chemistry is NOT your forte. Not even close. I HAVE read your other posts in other subjects. Some are done VERY well and I should emphasize VERY WELL.. Some not so well. Some are wrong. While your posts disparaging my character lacks continuity, because your posts ramble and lack conclusions based on facts from beginning to end, you are right about certain points. Students do come here for information by the hundreds. Unfortunately many come here looking for answers with no work on their part. They are cheaters. Some don't want to read articles tutors suggest because that's too much like work. You're also right about Brainly. That is one of the best sites I've seen and they do a great job of answering questions fully and thoroughly. Jiskha answers are short and to the point based on a specific question while Brainly goes into depth in a particular subject. Usually that's more than the student wants but it's enough to answer his/her question and provides additional information if needed. You need not respond to this post. This is my last post on the subject. I didn't intend to get into a pi--ing contest with you; I just wanted to send a message to you that it is completely unnecessary to say idk to a question. Students come here for answers and a response that idk is not helpful but it does spam up the board. Thank you and have a good day.

I can say that the work you have done is impressive, but it's just sad to see that someone as a great a person and both in the profession, is lacking in maturity and stability, just because he's doing the opposite of encouraging students in learning to this site. This person should take lessons from teachers and professors, and see how they stand on encouraging students in the topics of learning. Instead of trying to kick off my reason for being here, DrBob222, you should have explained to me the concepts of the chemical formula and problem, or written at least a more encouraging note to me. It's mighty embarrassing, I know, but don't worry, you'll get through it. Let me quote what you said -"If you don't post we don't even know you're there. That;s the best solution of all."'

Just letting you know, I'm changing my name to CookieCrumbs. I honestly think it more superior than "DrBob222"

Wow! Do you really think these are just jokes? People come here because of these comments- the interest that they are looking for. There might be hundreds of thousands of people, visiting this site probably every day, and to the people who don't know these answers, they have a chance to communicate, and lead people on to find them. If you have ever visited BRAINLY, then you know that the answers have to be essay-like and that the answers are something people look at, as one choice. This chat is something people can scroll down on, and take in different opinions. For example, they might not trust your answer, so might take another answer, like mine. You have no right to kick me off this chat, and I actually do answer questions for other people, but if you haven't heard, I'm not into chemistry, and only relate to other subjects. When I said -"I have no idea 0-o" I was using humour, and was just relating to the characteristic that almost everybody has. If you haven't noticed, not many high schoolers- college people would use this site, because, by that age, they would very well figure out this is not a so trustworthy site. They should find the information on their own. I think it would be very rude for someone who has the authority to become a "teacher" to say what you said(even though I actually don't know if you just copied that funny icon thing) By the way, you said you don't have time for my jokes, so... if you really don't care, then don't read this message, and don't respond to it.

I postd for trial 1. Do the same for the other trials.

I am very glad this is your last post, as for I had made a very good point, and so have you. I hope you will respect the interest's some people have to make this site what it is. I do not thank you, but I hope you have a good day/evening too.

I have no idea 0-o
