Hi, I am working on linear regression and have a table that compares 8 high school girl's height in inches and IQ scores.

First I was to come up with an equation for this which I did, and it's y = .13x + 102.07.

The next question asks the slope, which I know is .13, but then it asks what that represents?

The slope represents the rate of change or how much the dependent variable (y) changes for every one-unit increase in the independent variable (x). In this case, the slope of 0.13 means that for every one-unit increase in height (in inches), there is an average increase of 0.13 in the IQ score. In other words, for each additional inch in height, the average IQ score increases by 0.13 points.
