In pea plants, the allele for purple flowers, P, is dominant over the allele for white flowers, p. Which conclusion about phenotype and genotype is possible?(1 point)

If a plant has white flowers, then its genotype must be pp.

If a plant has purple flowers, then its genotype must be PP.

If a plant has purple flowers, then its genotype must be Pp.

If a plant has white flowers, then its genotype must be Pp.

What is a phenotype of an organism?(1 point)

an observable trait

a structure that carries genetic information

a combination of alleles

a section of DNA

What is an allele?(1 point)

a dominant form of a gene

the location of a gene on a chromosome

a form of a gene

the trait a gene controls

  17. Alright, I won't tell you the EXACT answer, but I'll help out!

    1. PP is dominant, right? We aren't quite sure if Pp stands for purple flowers. White flowers are lowercase, so it's obvious that if it has white flowers, it's pp.

    2. Look back at your lesson, the definition is in the key words.

    3. Just like last one, it's in your lesson. Maybe take a peek instead of looking it up..

    4. Tt stands for tall, right? TT also does. Plant A will not be present in the answer. If Tt and TT are quite similar, that is the answer.
