how can you set an equation to y=mx +b form?
Example: 6x-4y=12
y=mx+b is slope intercept form
6x-4y=12
subtract 6x on both sides
-4y=-6x+12
divide -4 to both sides
y=6/4x-3
i think you should also simply 6/4 to 3/2
so
y=3/2x - 3
what if it's the other way around, like what if it adds instead of subtracting like
-2x+5y= -10
-2x+5y=-10
since its a -2x and we want to move it to the other side, you would add it
5y=2x-10
then divide 5 to both sides
y=2/5x - 2
thanks, you've helped aloooooot!
Thank you!!! i appreciate it!
