If the outlier is removed what is the mean of the data set below 21, 23, 19, 25, 83, 23, 21

I did that but it gave me the wrong answer

Since 83 is the outlier I got rid of it and added up 21, 23, 19, 25, 23 and 21 and got 22. Would this mean that the mean is 22?

He said add it up so all all the numbers up except the outlier...which is 83. then dived the number you get by 6. Here is the answer: B.22 easy ..

it is B.22

Answer is: 22

i need help plz

cool

To find the mean of a data set, you need to sum up all the numbers in the data set and then divide the sum by the total number of values. However, before finding the mean, we need to remove the outlier.

In this case, the outlier is the number 83. So, if we remove that outlier, our new data set becomes: 21, 23, 19, 25, 23, 21.

To find the mean of this new data set, we sum up all the numbers: 21 + 23 + 19 + 25 + 23 + 21 = 132.

Next, we need to count the total number of values in the data set, which is 6.

Now, we can find the mean by dividing the sum by the total number of values: 132 / 6 = 22.

Therefore, if the outlier is removed, the mean of the data set becomes 22.

13.83?

Clearly the outlier is 83,

so add up the rest , then divide by 6
