Atrader has shs 250000. He buys boxes of books at shs 25000 each and boxes of candles at shs 10000 each. The money spent on books is at least shs 50000 more than that spent on candles. He buys at least 5 boxes of books and at least 7 boxes of candles . a) Write down four inequalities to represent the above information . b) On the same axes , plot the graphs of the inequalities and shade the unwanted regions. C) List all the possible numbers of boxes of books and candles he can buy. d) Find the number of boxes of books and candles that the trader should buy so as to spend all the money.

Let

b = # boxes of books
c = # boxes of candles
To make things easier to read, assume money amounts are in thousands
Then
25b+10c <= 250
25b >= 10c+50
b >= 5
c >= 7
Graph those lines, and you can see that b must be 5, 6, or 7
Now determine values of c that satisfy those choices.
