T = 8/V1
Eq2: (V1+2)T = 9
In Eq2, replace T with 8/V1 and solve for V1:
(V1+2)8/V1 = 9
8+16/V1 = 9
V1 = 16 km/h = 16000m/3600s = 4.44 m/s.
V2 = V1+2 = 16+2 = 18km/h = 5 m/s.
