Why does a thrown football have both potential and kinetic energy? What is the combined energy called?

Plzzzz help me asap! i would rlly appreciate it.

@hello

Mrs. sue died last year in december rip...

But your a fake Ms.Sue cause the real one has a little teacher figure beside her name

We smoking on that ms sue pack 🚬

I really need help all I know is

Mass: is the amount of matter in an object
Potential Energy: the stored energy of an object due to its position or condition
Kinetic Energy: The energy that an object has due to its motion.
The amount of kinetic energy an object has depends on its motion and speed.
Kinecit energy is transformed into electricity.

Kenetic energy

The football has (gravitational) potential energy because of its position above the ground. It also has kinetic energy because it is moving.

@hello ms sue id dead

RIP
MS.SUE

A thrown football has both potential energy and kinetic energy because it is above the ground, and also because the object is moving. The combined energy of potential and kinetic energy would be called, "mechanical energy".

The combined energy is called mechanical energy :)

hey ms sue am i right

So is hello right??
