What are the approximate solutions of 2x^2 - x + 10 = 0?

A. -2, 2.5
B. -1.97, 2.47
C. -2.5, 2
D. no solution

Please help im completely stuck on this one, and i already searched through previous lessons.

if possible please include the formula

https://www.mathsisfun.com/quadratic-equation-solver.html

x = [ -a +/- sqrt(b^2-4ac) ] / 2a

Thank you Damon this helped a lot!

It has complex roots so I bet you have a typo

0.25 + 2.2220486043289i
0.25 - 2.2220486043289i
It has Complex Roots !

I bet they mean:

2x^2 - x - 10 = 0?

h = Xv = -B/2A = 1/4 = 0.25.

k = Yv = 2(1/4)^2 - 1/4 + 10 = 9 7/8 = 9.9.
V(h, k) = V(0.25, 9.9).
k > 0. No solution.
