Given the reaction: 3 Cu + 8 HNO3  3 Cu(NO3)2 + 2 NO + 4 H2O

If 12.0 moles of copper react, how many grams of HNO3 are needed?
Please show work.

12 moles copper means 8*4 moles nitric acid.

The issue really is how concentrated the nitric acid is (you can do that calculation), so assume it is 100percent Nitric (It wont be).
grams 100percent nitric acid= moles*molmass=32*63 grams
