What i have now:
I chose to compare and contrast Concrete and Haiku poems, one similarity between them is they allow the reader to see or imagine what they are reading, but Concrete poetry actually uses he text to create an image while Haiku poetry allows the reader to imagine what they are reading.

Thank you @anime_is_cool

no problem^^

both poems are also pretty simple

haiku is more about nature

concrete is about telling a person what the picture is?...

hope this kinda helps

To compare and contrast Concrete and Haiku poems, we need to understand each form and their distinct features. Concrete poetry, also known as visual or shape poetry, is a form where the poem's layout on the page resembles the subject of the poem. The placement, arrangement, and shape of the words and letters contribute to the overall visual effect. Haiku, on the other hand, is a form of traditional Japanese poetry that consists of three lines with a syllable pattern of 5-7-5. Haiku typically focuses on nature, capturing a single moment with vivid imagery and sensory language.

Now, let's explore the similarities and differences between Concrete and Haiku poetry. The first similarity is that they both engage the reader's imagination. Concrete poetry accomplishes this by using the arrangement of text to create visual representations, allowing the reader to see the poem as an image. Haiku, although not employing visual elements, stimulates readers to create mental images through its concise and descriptive language.

However, a key difference is that Concrete poetry primarily relies on the visual aspect to convey meaning, using words as images. The layout and design of the poem play a vital role in the reader's understanding and interpretation. On the other hand, Haiku relies more on the imagery and descriptive language within the poem itself to evoke emotions and paint a picture in the reader's mind. It doesn't depend on the physical appearance on the page.

In summary, while Concrete and Haiku poetry both inspire the reader's imagination, Concrete poetry achieves this through its visually arranged text, while Haiku relies on evocative language and imagery. Understanding these differences will help you further analyze and compare the two forms in your essay. Remember to expand on these points and provide more specific examples to support your analysis.
