Why electronic file organization is a key skill for today’s workplace? You may use a scenario from your current and/or future workplace where file organization and file sharing would be a critical skill to have. You may also choose to reflect on how learning to use OneDrive can also assist you in your present role as a student. I am not sure other points I should make. Thanks for you help.
My answer:

Electronic file organization is a key skill for today’s work place for many reasons. It will increase productivity and will help give a clear understanding of what documents should be filed in the shared drive system. This will help bring ease and clarity to new employee’s on how to access important information quickly and let them be as productive as possible. Having a sound file structure will help to improve the over all production of the organization. I have noticed many doctor offices and hospitals have digitized all paper medical records, which means they are now using electronic medical records (EMR) systems. If someone does not have organization it could potentially lead to files and or documents going in to the wrong hands.
Learning to use One Drive can also assist me in my present role as a student. It will help me to be organized with my assignments . I will be able to access any other important documents and data. Having my files organized will help me in becoming an successful student.

Here is my updated version. ( I am looking see if there is any other ways to improve this. I thank you for your help.

Also having good file organization will help give a clear understanding of what documents should be filed in the shared drive system. Having good organization of files will help bring ease and clarity to new employees on how to access important information quickly and let them be as productive as possible. Having a sound file structure will help to improve the overall production of the organization. I have noticed many doctors’ offices and hospitals have digitized all paper medical records, which means they are now using electronic medical records (EMR) systems. An example of this would be filing Mr Jone’s medical information going into Mrs Smith’s chart. If someone is not organized they can use a folder naming system.

This is better, but be careful about repetition of ideas without specific references.

You need to state that files and other information need to be stored in carefully organized and named folders and sub-folders in a physical and/or cloud storage system (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloud_storage). You should probably give examples to demonstrate you know what you're referring to.

Your example (Mr Jones' information going into Mrs Smith's folder) is a good one. Be careful where you place this explanation.

The only other thing is to indicate that OneDrive is Microsoft's cloud storage system.

Being a Project Manager for a small team I have resumes to review. There are many resumes that look good and the applicants are well qualified, but 2 stand out because they were poorly done. Being a Manager you look for professionalism but these 2 were poorly formatted, wacky font and the graphic were not very professional. I had to pass on their resumes because I can't take the person seriously. I would pass on hiring them. Sorry but I'm looking for someone that can be profession and take the job seriously.

Electronic file organization is a crucial skill for today's workplace due to its ability to increase productivity and streamline information sharing. With a well-organized file structure, employees can quickly access important documents, saving time that would otherwise be wasted searching for files. This allows them to focus on more critical tasks and helps maintain a smooth workflow within the organization. Moreover, file organization ensures that sensitive information is safeguarded and prevents documents from falling into the wrong hands. For example, in a medical setting where paper medical records have been replaced with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, proper file organization is essential to prevent patient records from being mixed up or shared improperly.

Learning to use OneDrive can also be highly beneficial for students like myself. As an online storage service provided by Microsoft, OneDrive allows easy access to a wide range of documents, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files. By using OneDrive, I can keep my assignments and important documents organized, ensuring that I can easily locate and submit them when needed. Additionally, OneDrive provides a secure backup for my files, reducing the risk of losing important data due to device malfunction or accidental deletion. Overall, mastering file organization skills and utilizing tools like OneDrive can greatly contribute to my success as a student.
