A motorcycle is traveling at 70 mph over takes a car that is traveling at 30 mph, that had a 3 hour head start. How long will it take for the motorcycle to meet the car?
during the 3-hour head start, the car went 90 miles.
distance = speed * time
So, if the cycle catches the car after x hours, we know that
70x = 90 + 30x
Now just find x.
