Describe how humanist thought led to scientific and artistic innovations during the Renaissance. What were the lasting effects on later societies?

The Renaissance period was a time when the people took back the right and became responsible for their lives again through knowledge and culture by giving meaning to their own lives; which led to scientific and artistic innovations. Many people see it as a time where people were "reborn" after the harsh reality of the Middle Ages and for the first time in a long time religion took a second place in the way many lived. People began to turn away from the thoughts of the church and relied on finding answers themselves and in doing so several scientific and artistic innovations came about. Lasting effects that we see today are beautiful artwork that is full of history and not just of religion. We also would not have had as much technology today without the early thoughts and research during the Renaissance time (from space to wi-fi). People during the Renaissance time began to think outside the church and within themselves and others which led to amazing innovations that helped shape the world we now know.

what these movements were, was a turning away from God and more trying to self rely on finding the answers to life, using science or technology. In todays society what is preached is science.
