Passage 1

People started collecting postage stamps as soon as the first stamps were produced. Today, an estimated 25 million Americans collect stamps. People collect stamps for a variety of reasons. Some collectors enjoy studying the history of stamps, while others like to admire the variety of images displayed on the stamps. Some people focus on collecting stamps from a particular time period, and others may focus on specific geographic regions. Stamp collecting is an enjoyable and popular indoor hobby.

Passage 2
As you are well aware, stamps in superb condition are worth much more than their fine, average, or poor counterparts. If you are hunting for more superb quality stamps, it would be wise to visit a weekend course. Stamp dealers frequently sell their duplicates at these events, which is a perfect opportunity for avid collectors to expand their collection.
