Can anyone simplify the plane art portfolio item? I can copy and paste the directions if you need.

Basically you have to draw congruent triangles into a tessellation. You can either draw it out or use a computer program. After that, you must describe the type of triangle you chose for the tessellation. Then, basically give an in depth description on your knowledge of interior angles of triangles and how any type of triangle could be used in a tessellation. An example would be: All triangles can be used in a tessellation, as long as every triangle is congruent. Congruent meaning, every triangle has the same side lengths and same interior angle size. If they were not congruent, there would be holes in your tessellation. A holy tessellation is no longer a tessellation. So, if you had 4 congruent scalene triangles you could fit their vertices together and make a tessellation. But they must be congruent.

Now, to explain the math behind interior angles. Interior angles are the inside area on a triangle where the vertices meet. These angles can range from obtuse, right and acute angles. For the tessellation to work, every triangle must have the same interior angle sizes, such as, two acute and one obtuse. If you chose a triangle with those interior angle sizes, all triangles must match, or be congruent. Another example to clarify, two angles measuring 30 degrees and one equaling 120 degrees. To be blunt, choose a triangle type, draw one out, and copy past them together.

You must also include diagrams of these other tessellations or triangles to prove your theory. You must turn in your tessellation and the explanation of tessellations with it.

I need to use triangles to make a tessellation, and then explain the math behind it. I don't know what math is behind it to explain.

i have two days to finish this and one more portfolio can someone please just put there link to theres in here. i know thats not how it works but im under so much stress and i cant fail yall.

Use the excerpt from Colin Powell's Speech to UN Security Council, February 5, 2003 to answer the question.

How did the events of September 11, 2001, influence Powell's message in this excerpt? Explain
A. They formed the basis for the foreign policy he pursued, according to the agenda of George W. Bush.
B. They created a context in which missing Iraqi weapons had to be found, according to the agenda of George W. Bush.
C. They broadened the scope of American diplomacy to include the Middle East, according to the agenda of George W. Bush.
D. They provided an excuse for investigating nuclear misconduct around the world, according to the agenda of George W. Bush,

Answer:

A. They formed the basis for the foreign policy he pursued, according to the agenda of George W. Bush.

Explanation:
In the excerpt, Colin Powell mentions that the events of September 11, 2001, changed the way the United States viewed the world. He refers to the attacks as a "stark moment" and a "graphic and terrible demonstration" of the dangers faced by the international community. Powell also mentions that the Bush administration was committed to a foreign policy that focused on protecting the United States from these dangers. Therefore, it can be inferred that the events of September 11, 2001, influenced Powell's message in this excerpt by forming the basis for the foreign policy pursued by the Bush administration.

Of course! Please copy and paste the directions for the plane art portfolio item, and I'll do my best to simplify them for you.

How is this a pre-algebra question???
