Find the volume generated by revolving the region bounded by x=1, y= e^x/2, y= e^x about the x-axis?

Using the washer method?

assuming you meant e^(x/2),

the vertices of the region are (0,1), (1,√e), (1,e)
The width of each washer is just the distance between the two curves:
e^x - e^(x/2)
Now just plug and chug as usual
I get π/2 (e-1)^2
