Hi, I jjust did this problem, but i forgot if i have to square the number first by x or if I square it after multiplying the coefficient by x. Please help.
3x^2 + 2x - 1 ×= -3
3(-3)^2 + 2(-3) - 1
-9^2 -6 -1
81 - 7 =74
(-3)^2 = (-3)(-3) = 9, so
3(-3)^2 + 2(-3) - 1
3*9-6-1
27-6-1
