I need help with this problem. I need to simplify (-8+3i) - (1+4i). I already did the problem, but i looked back at other examples from this unit and I think I might be wrong.

(-8+3i) - (1+4i)
(-8 - 3) - (1 - 4)
(-8 - 3) + (-1 + 4)
-11 + 3 = -8

1. ( - 8 + 3 i ) - ( 1 + 4 i ) = - 8 + 3 i - 1 - 4 i = - 9 - i = - ( 9 + i )
