find the square root off 12.25 by prime factorization

  1. multiply by 100. 1225
    divide by 25: 45
    divide by 9: 5
    answer: sqrt12.25= sqrt(9*25/100)=15/10*sqrt5=1.5*sqrt5

  2. hmm. I get
    √12.25 = √(1225/100) = √(25*49/100) = 5*7/10 = 3.5
