I looked up the meaning of " Fate" and it had a lot of different ones. Some said that it had to do with a belief and that it is not real and some said the opposite. It got me confused. Thanks

It's often fate that determines whom we meet and marry. In other words it's purely accidental that we're in the same school and in the same class. It's fate that determines who is in a crowd that a shooter attacks. It cannot be determined ahead of time.
