List some important ideas that the watsons go to birmingham -1963. Why did you choose those ideas?

(Please answer if you read the book. Thanks. Also no links.)

YOU are getting it all wrong! Bunnies 4 life

nonono, you got it all wrong, dogs are better than cats

I have read the book, but it only lets me read up until chapter 7 and I haven't figured out some important ideas.

Personally I believe that the most important topics throughout the story are Family, Mortality, Coming of Age and Guilt.

First of all, the coming of age is the central topic of the story as the main characters are experiencing a transformation that implies the loss of their innocence.

One of the main characters, Kenny, is often feeling remorseful after witnessing a bombing event that the narrator uses to portray the idea that guilt can be felt even when one is not directly involved with the cause or is not at fault of a particular event. This event also leads us to the mortality topic which is not something a 10-year-old kid concerns himself about except that in this case, said kid, witnessed a bombing event and realizes that everyone will die eventually.

Throughout the story we can observe that the Watsons are a close family who values their link more than anything else, I believe this is an interesting topic to talk about as it is not quite popular within the American population.
