Hey everyone, I am doing research about Confucius and my teacher told me to use the internet to do my research. The only problem is I cannot find an answer to this question if someone could help me out the question is: Why was Confucius never able to establish a state based on his principles? What was lacking?

"establish a state" ?? What does that mean?

His principles were applied widely in China.

I believe the question is asking why his principles were not established as a state while he was still alive and spreading his teachings. I have however found some information about it from Khan Academy that is going to help me. Thank you very much for your help and response :)

You're welcome.
