#23 80= a one time fee and x= a number of months and then 55= the fee per month the reason each number and letter in the expression relate to the problem is because 80 is the one time (fee) and 55 is the (fee) per month and X is the number of months so x and 55 go together and then what ever that is you add 80 to it.

#24 My friend is wrong, hers/his statement isn't true for example : you first have to solve for K so you have to add the 3.5 to both sides of the equation. So K- 3.5 + 3.5 =21 + 3.5. ON the K's side of the equation, the 3.5 is canceled out. then you add 21 + 3.5 after you get your answer you will fine out that K is now 24.5.

there you go i spent half m time today doing this so your welcome

What do you get when you substitute 3 for y?
