Find the domain of the function. s(y)= 3y over y+5
looks like I could use any y I feel like, except y = -5
so the domain would be .....
(BTW, the general consensus is that the choice of variables for the independent variable in a "function" is the letter x
Some students might have been taught, that domain refers to the x variable, and range refers to the y variable.)
