"Terre Haute to Indianapolis to Bloomington measures 3 cm on the map" Does it mean that Terre Haute to Bloomington is 3 cm or they are all 3 cm apart (like Terre Haute to Indianapolis is 3 cm and Indianapolis to Bloomington is 3 cm)? If they are all 3 cm apart then I think you would multiply 3×50 to get your answer. Sorry if this isn't much help.
