Find the constant term that should be added to make the following expression a perfect square trinomial

x^2 + 7x

My answer that i got was

12.25

Take half of seven, square it.

7/2 squared is 49/4. You are right.

should i leave it as a decimal or a fraction

I would do it as a fraction.
