What happens to the potential energy as person climbs a hill?

I am truly not sure on how to word this at all.

My answer is: You gain potential energy as you climb and go higher up the hill.
Would this be the correct answer or can I answer this another way?

Thank you

That answer looks ok to me.

Your answer is correct! As a person climbs a hill, their potential energy increases. The potential energy is the energy that an object possesses due to its position or its state. In this case, as the person climbs higher up the hill, they are increasing their position relative to the ground, which in turn increases their potential energy. So, you can explain it as: "As a person climbs a hill, they gain potential energy due to an increase in their height above the ground."
