A(b-c) = ab - ac

-3 x 4a - -3 x 5b
-12 - -15 = 3
Is this this the distributive property?
Is this correct?
If not, please explain. I am not sure if I fully understand it or not :-)

- 3 ( 4 a - 5 b ) = - 3 ∙ 4 a - 3 ∙ ( - 5 b ) = - 12 a + 15 b = 15 b - 12 a

a ( b - c ) = a ∙ b - a ∙ c

What -3 x 4a - -3 x 5b mean?

By the way - 3 ( 4 a - 5 b ) and a ( b - c ) they have already been simplified.
