For the following relations to be a function, x cannot be what values? Please enter your values in order from least to greatest.

a. { (-7, 9), (-6, 4), (x, 3), (-1, -4), (0, 7) }

b. {-14, 2), (x, 12), (4, 5), (-2, 1), (-16, 4) }

1. If you see two or more ordered pairs with the same x value but different y valued, then the relation is NOT a function,
so what can x not be ??
e.g. suppose x = -1 , then we would have (-1,3) and (-1,-4). That would be a no-no
so x ≠ -1
What other values of x have that property?

Do the same for the second set of points.
