What kinds of problems might exist in the Western Cordillera region for farming and transportation?

Please help. thanks.

Thank you for using the Jiskha Homework Help Forum. Each time you post try to give the complete frame of reference. When you just say "Western Cordillera" hopefully you mean Canada? If so, try the following sites. This might also refer to the U.S. But it might also mean Spain, Ecuador, Colombia, etc.

1. http://www.britannica.com/eb/article-43268/Canada (Canada)

2. http://www.britannica.com/eb/article-77954/United-States (U.S.)

3. http://www.peakbagger.com/range.aspx?rid=3210 (Spain)

4. (Broken Link Removed)
(Colombia)

5. http://www.springerlink.com/content/v28q325g88354280/ (Ecuador)

So, first of all identify WHICH Western Cordillera you mean. Then analyze any problems that might exist in a remote montainous area with respect to transportation and farming. Have you ever see "terraces" in order to grow crops in mountainous areas? Put on your thinking cap and I'm sure you will find information even without research.
