#Please guy i need your help over this question how to do it.

Mrs Ally went to the market with sh.10,000 to buy the following items;
5 kg of rice @ sh. 600, 2 kg of meat @ sh. 2000, 2 heaps of onions @ sh. 150, 2 kg of sardines @ sh.700 and bus fare sh. 300 @ journey. How much change was she remained with?

I think I would add up all the costs, then subtract that from 10,000.

how about bus fare,is it multiply by 1 or 2

Multiply the bus fare by 2.

Why should i multiply by 2 while the question state it is per journey please any more clarification.

To calculate how much change Mrs. Ally had remaining, we need to first calculate the total cost of the items she bought and then subtract that from the amount she initially had.

Let's look at the cost of each item:

- 5 kg of rice at sh. 600 per kg: 5 kg * sh. 600/kg = sh. 3000
- 2 kg of meat at sh. 2000 per kg: 2 kg * sh. 2000/kg = sh. 4000
- 2 heaps of onions at sh. 150 per heap: 2 heaps * sh. 150/heap = sh. 300
- 2 kg of sardines at sh. 700 per kg: 2 kg * sh. 700/kg = sh. 1400

Now let's calculate the total cost of all these items:

Total cost = sh. 3000 + sh. 4000 + sh. 300 + sh. 1400 = sh. 8700

Next, we need to subtract the total cost from the amount Mrs. Ally initially had:

Change = Initial amount - Total cost
Change = sh. 10,000 - sh. 8700 = sh. 1300

So, Mrs. Ally had sh. 1300 remaining as change.
