Use the image to answer question 25.

What is happening in the diagram? (5 points)
It is a picture with a boat sailing on the water with sound waves going down to an old and sunken ship but the waves then go back up to the boat in a different angle.

I don't really understand this and can't find a picture with this stuff in my lessons. Can someone help me? and please don't send links. My computer can't open them. And they don't really help me anyways.

It is Sonar waves, to see where things are underwater.

:D

Sonar, short for Sound Navigation and Ranging, is helpful for exploring and mapping the ocean because sound waves travel farther in the water than do radar and light waves. NOAA scientists primarily use sonar to develop nautical charts, locate underwater hazards to navigation, search for and map objects on the seafloor such as shipwrecks, and map the seafloor itself. There are two types of sonar—active and passive. - Oceanservice . com

OH! It's sonar waves! I get it! Thanks!

I don't understand, how would you explain it?

( I'm loving this right now lol, it doesn't even have anything to do with the question that was first asked here. lol )

Y’all are really funny😂

So basically, it's sonar waves being repelled off of another surface??
