How does temperature affect the rate of a reaction?

I have to create a hypothesis and just put the definition as well, but I want a short simple answer to it. Please and thank you.

The temperature affects the rate of a reaction by increasing or decreasing the speed at which the reactants collide and react with each other. In general, as the temperature increases, the rate of the reaction also increases. This is due to the fact that an increase in temperature provides more energy to the reactant molecules, making them move faster and increasing the frequency of collisions. As a result, the reactant molecules have a greater chance of overcoming the activation energy barrier and forming products, leading to a faster reaction. Conversely, lowering the temperature reduces the kinetic energy of the reactant molecules, resulting in a slower reaction rate.

Hypothesis: If the temperature is increased, then the rate of the reaction will also increase because higher temperatures provide more energy to the reactant molecules, causing them to move faster and collide more frequently.
