1. What are the mean, median, mode of the Data sets given the altitude of lakes in feet:- 12,-9,-14,-39,-49,-49,-18, and -43?

A. Mean=-28.5,median=-29.1,Mode=-49,range= 40*
B. Mean=-29.1, median=-49, Mode=-28.5,range= 41
C. Mean=-49,median=-29.1, Mode=-28.5,range= 41
D. Mean=-29.1,median=-28.5, Mode=-49, range= 40

2. Given the data set 12, 39, 21, 18, 24, 17, 12, 25:
a. What is the outlier in that data?
b. What is the mean with the outlier?
c. What is the mean without the outlier?

A. 12; 21; 18.4
B. 12; 18.4; 21
C. 39; 21; 18.4*
D. 39; 18.4; 21

whats the answer

Can someone please post the full answers to the question not just a b c d but instead write the full answer to all questions!!

1. How can you have negative altitudes?

2. I'll be glad to check your answers.

**ANSWER** A mean = –28.5, median = –29.1, mode = –49, range = 40

First put them in order
- 49, - 49 , - 43 , -39 , -18, -14, -12, -9
Add the two middle numbers -39 and -18, it equals -57
Divide - 57 and 2, it equals - 28.5 <--- MEAN

Second add all the numbers together, it equals - 233, then divide by 8, which equals
- 29.1 <---MEDIAN

MODE is the number that happens most, which is -49 <--- MODE

The range is -49 - ( -9 ) = - 40 <-----RANGE

Thx Ms. Sue !!

Awesome af i can have fun in my spring break instead of worrying about this dumb test haha
