Calculate the pH and % ionization for each of the following acids.a. 0.15 M HNO3b. 0.10 M HCNc. 0.40 M HFd. 0.10 M HClO2

I have no idea how to do this? In clas we had a Ka but none was given here...

Please Help!
Thank You

HNO3 is a strong cid meaning it dissociates completely. The others are weak acids and all have Ka values. You can look them up on the web. I won't bother to go through the weak acids since you have examples of them. For the HNO3, it is done this way.

........HNO3 --> H^+ + NO3^-
I.......0.15.....0......0
C......-0.15....0.15....0.15
E.........0......0.15...0.15

So (H^+) = 0.15 M. Convert that to pH.
