The product of a monomial and a binomial is a _____.

Which words correctly fill in the blank? Select all correct answer choices.

A)binomial
B)monomial
C)polynomial
D)trinomial
E)variable

I'm pretty sure it's A) and B), but is C) one too?

The answer to my example was 3x + 15

which consists of 2 terms,

thus we have a binomial.
Of course it could also be called a polynomial, which is the general classification
"poly" from the Greek meaning many or several

so check off:
A, and C

okay, thank you

𝑪𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒘𝒆𝒓 𝒊𝒔 𝒑𝒐𝒍𝒚𝒏𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒂𝒍

𝒊𝒔 𝒂 𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒕

The answer is binomial

I THINK IF U MULTIPLY IT YOU HAVE 3 TERMS BECAUSE MONOMIAL MULTIPLIED BY BINOMIAL THAT MEANS 1 * 2 =3 BUT IT IS NOT TRINOMIAL WHEN YOU TAKE FOR Eg 3(x+5) = 3x + 15 simplify it the answer is binomial so the answers are binomial

THAT MEANS BINOMIAL WINS

Reiny

I see four terms in your example.
Bi in Binomial means two terms.
Mono in monomial means one.

This is a multiple answer question, But now that I look at it, I don't think it'd be C. I think it's D), because tri... three... Bi and Mono equals Tri...

use an example:

3(x+5) = 3x + 15

how many terms do you see?
What does the bi in binomial mean ?
What does the mono in monomial mean?

How can it be A) and B) ???
